05-13-2022 Water recovery Mr. Brown missing for nearly a year in Yamhill Co. Ore.

Situation: On 05-28-2021 I.K.9.S.A.R.S. was contacted by a friend of the family of Missing person Ralph Brown. I assigned our case# 2021-12,446-127(A). 05-28-2021 Missing person Wash. Co. Ore.

Here’s what we were told. Fri, May 28, 2021 6:33 pm: Dirk Knudsen (calldirk@gmail.com)   Hi there this is Derek and I'm helping head up the search for Mr. Ralph Brown who went missing almost 2 weeks ago. One of your friends who works inside Washington County told me about you and your dog and that you might be able to help and I have asked the family if they would accept your help and they said at this point while they don't understand the capability of your dog, they would be willing to accept any help you can give. You can call me anytime at 503-799-8383. And we can talk further about how you can get involved. Thank you so much and hopefully we can work together to find Mr. Brown. Ralph Brown is 76 years old, about 5-foot-10, with white hair and blue eyes. His car is a dark blue, 2014 Nissan Sentra with Oregon plate . Anyone who sees him or his car is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-629-0111. Team: H. Oakes Results: I sent the family our contract for services agreement and was not only REFUSED to sign the contract, but then badmouthed because we charge for our services.

On 12-12-2021 I drove along the River and checked various areas. Champoeg park, and Rogers landing. While at Rogers landing area, (down river) both SAR dogs Tyler and Ms Cindy Lou alerted to the river. A deputy from Yamhill Co. SO pulled in and I informed him about the death alerts but we both agreed (It could be anyone’s remains) (homeless or Mr Brown’s).  Today 05-13-2022 I found out Adventures with purpose A volunteer dive team went in and found Mr Brown in his vehicle at this location.

Car of Ralph Brown, missing nearly a year, found in Willamette River (koin.com) PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A submerged car has been found in the Willamette River in the Newberg area near Roger’s Landing. Washington County Sheriff’s Office said they believe the car belonged to Ralph Brown, the former mayor of Cornelius who was reported missing nearly a year ago. Earlier, dive crews at the scene told KOIN 6 News a body had been found, however the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said no remains were found. Brown was last seen leaving his home in a Blue Nissan Sentra May 16, 2021. During last year’s search, Brown’s cell phone records indicated that he drove in circles for four hours within a 30-mile radius from home. Then, he disappeared. Jared Leisek of Adventures with Purpose — the dive crew that found the car — told KOIN 6 News “95% of the time when we solve a case it’s because of a cell phone ping and that’s what brought us back here today.” Leisek also described the moment he called Ralph’s wife –telling her they found the car “It was an emotional time for both her and myself. It was almost disbelief. It was a disbelief for us to find Ralph. It was a disbelief to tell the family and for them to put this nightmare behind them.”

Do you think the family will ever apologize to me for their foul comments? I surely don’t expect so.

Even though my SAR dogs were 100% correct. Chalk up another one for the dogs and politics.

Respectfully
Mr. Harry E. Oakes Jr.
